Guidelines for Social and Environmental Impact Assessment
Open Impact developed Guidelines for Social and Environmental Impact Assessment for Tecne, a division of Autostrade per l’Italia. These Guidelines provide a systematic approach for the assessment of infrastructure works, with particular emphasis on large-scale interventions such as the Gronda di Genova and the Passante di Bologna. The objective was to create an operational tool to assess the social and environmental impact of works, both ex ante and ex post, ensuring alignment with international sustainability standards, such as the Envision protocol and the Sustainable Development Goals. The Guidelines propose a framework adaptable to different infrastructure contexts, capable of measuring the economic, environmental and social benefits generated by major projects.
